Redeeming a Coupon on PAR Brink

This article focuses on how to use an A&W Restaurants coupon on the PAR Brink POS. This guide will walk you through the coupon redemption process and cover any commonly encountered errors you might run into. There are currently two ways to redeem a coupon: utilizing the coupon page directly on the POS system or employing the QR Code Scanner feature. It's important to note that coupons should be applied after all items have been rung up but before proceeding to the finish screen.

Redeeming a Coupon

To redeem, simply navigate to the coupon page by clicking on the prominent blue "Coupons" button located in the top right corner of the POS interface. Once on the coupon page, you will see an order list on the left side of the screen displaying the items in your order. If your coupon has a QR Code, select the item from the order list you wish to discount and scan the coupon. To apply a coupon that does not include a QR Code, select that item from the order list and locate the grid of available coupons and choose the discount you wish to apply.

Note: Some discounts cannot be applied alongside other discounts.

Common Issues

• If you are trying to redeem a coupon that involves a combo (e.g. $1 off any Dbl Burger Combo) and you get an error message similar to bellow, you will need to ensure that "*Make It A Combo" is selected from the item list.

• If you scan a coupon and you are given an audible beep and nothing else, it is likely your scanners will need to be recalibrated. This action can be performed by calling the RDS Wisconsin Help Desk at 262-896-2600.

If you need a new coupon created for your restaurant, submit a request using the POS Request QR Code or by clicking this link: POS Request. Please include all relevant information including what the discount is, what items are included, does this coupon expire, and when would you like it to go live.
